Back Home

We are back home and all seems well.

The procedure was maybe 30-40 minutes. They mildly sedated me but used a cervical block, so I had no lingering effects of the anesthesia. As the wheeled me to recovery, the nurse said "You're going to wake up now" and boom!, I was awake. No grogginess or nothing.

The doctor prescribed me cytotec to contract the uterus, an antibiotic and 10 days worth of percocet! I hope I am not in pain for that long. Even after my delivery I only needed ibuprofen for a few days. He said there was no perforation and they got some tissue.

I feel a great sense of relief. This unknown was hanging over me. I feel less burdened.

While I was in pre-op, the nurse checking me in asked me what pregnancy this was, and I answered "second". She said, "oh, so you have a baby at home?"

"No."

So when I was waiting in the little room by myself, I started thinking of Serenity, and how if she had made it, I wouldn't be in this predicatment. I just started to cry. Another nurse popped in and went to get Triple S. So now I know how to milk the system and get your hubby into pre-op faster (they usually wait til the IV and such are all in). I lean on him so much.

Well, I think I am off to slaughter some undead creatures. I started playing Morrowind again, after a two-ear hiatus. I also received the Missing Angels newsletter in the mail today. Triple S is making me some chicken soup (I am famished).

Missing macadamia and his/her big sister.... I asked the doctor to let me know the gender if the karyotype works out. I'd like to know.

Glad top know the procedure went well. It's all relative, isn't it?

Percocet? I wasn't prescribed anything after my 2 d&cs. I have to say, I'm a bit jealous.

Take care of yourself, Ya Chun. XO.

Take some time to rest and love yourself. Saying you've been through the wringer doean't even begin to cover it.
Thinking of you.

I just asked Triple S to go buy some ice cream and we are going to make banana splits. He said he'd do it because he owed me - I never had any weir cravings or midnight food run demands with either pregnancy.

My brain feels so much better after getting rid of those pregnancy hormones. And nothing is hurting, thanks to the P. Even my back...hmmm maybe I should go to the Doc for a spinal adjustment, since I wont tense up from the pain...oh, and one of those painful therapeutic massages where my massage therapist hits all the pressure points with all his force...

I'm glad that you are at home. You and Triple S are lucky to have each other.

Sometimes, when I can't think, I play silly free games on msn.com, like Bejeweled. It's an easy way to get my mind and eyes tired so that I can fall asleep.

I hear you about the video game thing.. I'm a world of warcraft addict. I'm glad the procedure is over and done with.. Hopefully they can find out the gender for you..

I'm glad the procedure went well. I had a D&C before for thickened endometrium and I wasn't in pain too long, maybe 2 days or so.

I'm happy you have Triple S. He sounds like he's your rock. You both are lucky to have one another.

Ice cream! Sounds like my kind of day.

Thinking of you and your family.

So glad the D&C went smoothly.

You deserve to feel a little sorry for yourself sometimes. You've been through some sad, tough times. I hope things continue to feel better...

I'm so sorry for all of it. Anytime you want a companion in the stasis pod, just let me know, ok?

I am glad it went well and you are doing ok. It's just not fair and I am sorry.

(You asked me on my blog if I go to mobap. Nope, I go to St. John's. Do you see Dr. Paul? Hmmm, we're both in stl. Maybe we should meet IRL.)

((hugs)) I cried a lot when I had my d&c's done too. I was lucky both times to have great understanding nurses and a doctor who was willing to medicate me for a few days.
