Picnic in the Park

Yesterday, Triple S and I got lunch to go and took the dog and ate in the park. We did this last weekend too; we had subs and ice cream.

This weekend, I got a salad and Triple S got a sandwich. We were sitting on our blanket, the dog drooling away as she stared at us, and I said

"There is just one thing missing from this picnic."

"There is one thing missing from our life," Triple returned.

I was thinking ice cream.

He doesn't always believe me when I say I am not sad, or not thinking of that, all the time. But, sometimes I am just thinking about ice cream.

It's weird that it can just be about ice cream and nothing else. It's hard to get used to, but it is a nice change of pace. I hope you got some after your picnic!

Believe it or not, there does come a point where it can be just about the ice cream! ; )

Sometimes it has to be about the ice cream!

Yay for ice-cream! We have a gelato place near us with a million flavors. I love the Berried Mango. :-)

Perhaps he's expressing his own grief. Healing is so often the hardest part.
