Light and Write

Please light a candle tonite to remember the countless babies that die before their birth.

Please write your representative to ask him or her to support the

Stillbirth Awareness and Research Act of 2008.

Here is a link explaining the bill at Washington Watch. You can read the bill (it is surprisingly short and straightforward) and leave comments. There is also a link (on the right under Take Action) to contact your Representative.

Thank you all for you support and comments, and welcome to all the SITStas... please read this post to find links on more information about stillbirth and share these links with pregnant women in your life.

I am a woman on a mission today!

Here via SITS. I can't imagine the heartbreak of losing a baby during any phase of pregnancy, but especially when you were so close to being able to hold your little girl. I hope telling your story brings you and others comfort and healing.

My thoughts are with you this day. I have never had a still birth so I can not even imagine never hearing my baby cry. Yet I know the pain and heart each of losing a baby tru death.
Our youngest died at 17 day from complications of T18. Me miss him every day.

Thanks again for sharing your story.

I'll be lighting a candle for my own baby tonight, Angelo David, who died in utero at 7.5 months last April. We had found out he had Trisomy 13 earlier in the pregnancy and were so fortunate to have a beautiful experience in the hospital with him, but nothing changes your view of the world like a baby dying. I'll say a prayer for your little girl as well.

Coming to you from SITS. My heart goes out to you and others like you. I am thankful you are willing to share your story of loss so that others may find their own peace and or new hope. I am unable to carry a child as I am infertile so to imagine finally becoming pregnant only to lose the baby would probably kill me. Thank you for what you're doing. You're in my prayers.

I found your site through SITS and I couldn't leave with out a comment. Even though I don't really know what to say.
I hope that you find peace and I will pray that you continue to have courage and gain strength from your loss.
I wanted to suggest a book that speaks about pregnancy loss and miscarriage in a different way; Unspeakable Losses by Kim Kluger-Bell
I wish you well,
Kalisha

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope yesterday was a day of healing for you. I miscarried our 2nd baby, and even 3 years later, the hurt comes back out of nowhere.
